Chronicles Of Harkle: Meghan Removes Her Name From Archie’s Birth Certificate And Replaces It Her Title – Why?

To kick off Chronicles of Harkle, I thought I’d address an interesting question. A few of the tabloid media outlets I don’t normally use as sources, have made the claim that Meghan has replaced her name which is Rachel Meghan on son Archie’s birth certificate with her full title. For those who are a bit confused, let me explain.

Archie’s birth was registered in late May 2019. His mother’s name, Rachel Meghan was placed before her title of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex, according to Vogue.

However, socialite Lady Colin Campbell noticed the ‘Rachel Meghan’ portion had been removed from the certificate, according to the Mirror. This leaves just the Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex. Apparently, this change was made on June 5 of 2019, roughly a month after Archie’s May 6 birth.

Another thing I noticed comes in an article The Sun which shows the following screenshot:

See on the screenshot where it is circled for the ‘Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex’? Above it, it appears that Harry’s name has also been changed to add ‘Prince’. This makes his full name out as ‘His Royal Highness Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex’.

The ‘Prince’ thing is not the only I noticed that was different in the screenshot. Anyone who follows the royal family will know that there’s a difference when the word ‘the’ is used.

Harry’s duke title doesn’t have ‘the’ in it while Meghan’s does. I did a quick Google search and Prince Harry’s Wikipedia page has him as ‘The Duke of Sussex’. Moreover, it is just a typo if ‘the’ isn’t on the certificate.

Why Did Meghan Have Her Names Replaced With Just Her Title?

If there is one thing I’ve come to see about Meghan it is that she is using her title to get herself work. If she and Harry had abandoned their Duke and Duchess monikers, she would be viewed like every other working woman in Hollywood. She has to work for it.

Therefore, Meghan appears to think that being a royal meant constant holidays and just being able to live it up in style. Sorry, darling but even royals female or male have to work. Also, your employer is Queen Elizabeth II of England.

During the engagement interview, Meghan gushed about how the Queen was a ‘remarkable woman’. Where was that respect when you dropped your name from your own child’s birth certificate? This brings us the question at hand. Why did she have her names replaced?

Some media outlets have said that it was snub while others say it’s a ‘sweet nod’ to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. Gag me! She is trying to show that she is the one born with the title and not Harry. Did the ‘Prince’ not raise enough alarm bells?

Always About The Title

Meghan replaced her name with her title on her son’s birth certificate because she wants to be known solely by the moniker. She’s not ‘Rachel Meghan’ or even ‘Meghan’ to herself anymore. She’s just The Duchess of Sussex. The HRH doesn’t apply as it was part of the rules set by the Queen during Megxit.

Though, we can argue that she and Harry have broken other rules set by Her Majesty and replaced them with their own. They never cared about what Queen Elizabeth wanted. All they, or rather Meghan, wanted was the title that would have her wining and dining with the A-list.

The title is the whole reason she invited ‘A’ list celebrities to the 2018 wedding that she and Harry didn’t know. I covered this in a post when the news broke last year.
