Well, THAT was a massive change of heart! Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli have changed their plea to guilty for the part they played in the College Admissions Scandal.
Over a year ago we covered almost every aspect of the College Admissions Scandal that dealt with Full House alum, Lori Loughlin, her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli and their daughter Olivia Jade. Since the wealthy couple were arrested, they always maintained their innocence that they thought they were doing the right thing when they paid $500k in bribes to get their girls into the University of Southern California. However, they have recently changed their plea to guilty in order to avoid being sent to prison a long time.
Whether the couple’s change of heart comes due to the coronavirus or if they’ve realised their error is unclear. In an article by CBS News, it is alleged that Loughlin may serve two months in prison while her husband will serve five months. This will include both serving additional add-ons like community service.
Does This Mean That Olivia Will Be Able To Talk About The Case On YouTube?
Now that Lori and Mossimo have changed their plea to guilty, what does this mean for Olivia and her career? Will she be able to finally talk about it on YouTube?
Once the case and the trial and whatever else wraps up, OJ will be able to return to YouTube and talk about it if she chooses. We cannot forget that this issue is a family matter so she mightn’t want to talk about it with millions of people watching.
Will This Mean Lori Can Go Back To Acting?
Given how much of a profile Lori has, it might be impossible for her to back to acting. After all, she and Olivia were basically the poster children of the scandal. She has lost the goody-goody reputation she once had and will not be viewed in the same way. She was fired from the final season of Fuller House and When Calls The Heart about halfway through the sixth season.
Casting directors are going to want to steer clear of Lori. She might’ve changed her plea to guilty, but that doesn’t change that she committed a crime. What makes her change of heart so pleasing is she realised she had think about her family. If she kept on saying she was innocent and then got sentenced to fifty years in prison, it only would make her look more guilty.
Will People Forgive The Loughlin/Giannulli Clan?
A lot of people have already forgiven the family. While we think those who have are crazy for doing so, we think about the bigger picture. Lori and Mossimo are rich. They also set bad examples for their daughters. Olivia and Bella thought the whole situation would just blow over and no one would get punished.
The rich are people too. Most do the right thing. However, there are those like Giannulli and Loughlin who think money grows on trees. That because of their lifestyle, they will get off without coincidences. That is not the way the world works and they should realise this.
