5 Unusual Uses For Vaseline Petroleum Jelly

We’ve all used Vaseline jelly at some point and for a variety of reasons. For me, it’s an everyday tool that gets me through the day. However, there are other, more unusual uses for the must-have beauty essential. Bear in mind, not all of these are associated with the human body.

5. Got An Old Dog With A Dry Nose? Try Using Vaseline!

This was the point that I hinted at in the introduction. Believe it or not, you can use Vaseline on the noses of your pets. I know you’re going to ask if the stuff’s poisonous. No, it’s not. Here’s how I found out about this.

Mum and I took our beloved elder Border Collie, Scarlett to the vet for her annual checkup. As the vet examined her, they noticed her nose was dry. We thought it was just something to with her old age. The vet told us to use Vaseline to put moisture back into her nose. They were 100% correct. It worked a treat. However, we tend to forget to do it so Scarlett’s nose is often drying out.

4. Got A Job Interview Or Something Important Happenin’ But Don’t Have Any Shoe Polish?

Do you have a pair of shoes that you love, but they’re terribly scuffed? You looked around for a jar of shoe polish and find you don’t have any? No worries! You can use Vaseline as the perfect substitute for shoe polish. Does the same thing, just it doesn’t contain the polish colour.

2. Got Car Batteries At Risk Of Corrosion?

Everybody’s had to deal with corroded batteries at some time or another. You don’t any complications with the battery and anything linked to it.

1. Removing Rings Can Be Hard Without Soap. Why Not Use Vaseline Instead?

For anyone who wears rings will know it’s difficult when you can’t get them off your fingers for whatever reason. Most people use soap, but what happens if you can’t use soap? You’d have to improvise in some way. You look around your bathroom and find… Vaseline? You decide to take a gamble and use it. You spread the jelly around your stuck piece of jewellery and find it has come loose before you slide it off your finger. Hey, presto! It worked!

Conclusion

While there are plenty of uses for Vaseline, these are just a few of the billions out there. I haven’t used very many of these, but I know people reading this will. Hope you all enjoyed this post and I can’t wait to share more pearls of wisdom with you.
